Header Technology

Today, advanced engine technology has helped the two-valve competition engine reach over 2.5 horsepower per cubic inch. Camshaft design and cylinder head technology has led the way to competition engines that easily spin well over 10,000 rpm. Current competition header technology is designed to actually pull air through (scavenge) the engine, using smaller primary tubes and properly sized merged collectors.

Newton, LeClair Score Super Comp wins at Auto Club Dragway

Josh Newton and Corey LeClair scored race victories for the first time this season in the Lucas Oil Super Comp Association co-sponsored by K&N Filters, as the series moved to the halfway point of the 8-race season.  Val Torres Jr., had a great weekend at Auto Club Dragway, going to the final round both days.

Saturday’s action saw Curt Stewart of Lake Havasu City, Arizona earn the number one qualifying position with an 8.902 effort for the Auto Club of Southern California and Clay Smith Cams qualifying bonus.  Art Rebrovich and Matt Fischle ran 8.904’s for the second and third spot, and Jesi Workman was fourth of the 43 entries with an 8.906.
