NHRA Drag Racing Series Win puts K&N V.P. in Running for World Championship

A NHRA Lucas Oil World Championship is a sportsman class race away for Super Comp driver Steve Williams of Loma Linda, California. Williams defeated Ed Johnson at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in Bakersfield, California and moved up to fifth nationally. Williams is Vice President of Product Development and Engineering for K&N Filters in Riverside, California. He drove his Ben Worthy built Super Comp dragster at Auto Club Famoso Raceway. Williams uses K&N Air and Oil Filters and the K&N Composite Intake Scoop on his vehicles. Williams was consistent on the tree throughout the day. He ran four 8.90s out of seven rounds. MUSCLE CARGATHERING ATTRACTS ENTHUSIASTS, OLD AND NEW, TO ATLANTA DRAGWAY
By: Amy & Tim Glover (Commerce,GA – September 6) The Hayes Automotive group and Year One teamed up in2008 and brought the Hayes Automotive American Muscle Meet, presented by YearOne, to Atlanta Dragway. The show featured all makes of American muscle cars inmany different settings, including a Car Show, Swap Meet and Car Corral. Inaddition, the car owners were allowed to flex the car’s muscle on the tracksurface, beginning with the Car Show Parade of Muscle in front of thegrandstands. College Freshman's Parents Save Money on Gas with K&N Products

Wilmot Speedway in Wilmot, Wisconsin hosted Championship Enduro Series 360 division racer Jessica Brannam in her mini sprint car. The event took place during the Kenosha County Fair. The race coincided with the fair and showcased the high speed competitive cars. "I have never seen the track in such great condition," said Brannam. "The promoters did a great job of getting ready for the event." Brannam jumped to third place right after the green flag dropped. The 17-year-old along with two other cars pulled away from the rest of the 20 car field. It looked like it would be a three car battle all the way to the end, but several cautions changed everything.
